PerMix Ribbon Mixers – Horizontal & Vertical Ribbon Mixers

PerMix presents its Ribbon Mixer from the PRB series. The Ribbon Mixer is an efficient and versatile blending machine for the mixing of dry powders, granules and viscous pastes homogeneously. It is able to give a satisfying ‘ homogeneity grade ‘ for mixing jobs due to the special design of a mixing agitator with dual ribbons inside of a U-shaped working trough.

The PRB Ribbon Mixer is able to achieve a maximum “mixing ratio” of 1:500,000 which means you can get the desired mixture proportion of components in as small as 1 gram with a batch of 500kg

The Working of the PerMix PRB Ribbon Mixer consists of one electrical motor, one gearbox, and a shaft with double ribbons located in a U-Shaped vessel. The external & inner ribbons are designed in such a way that the powder materials are pushed to move from center to the two ends of the vessel, and meanwhile from ends to the center; besides, the powder materials are lifted up along the ribbon edges but then drop due to gravity. In such a three-dimensional way, the total powder can be mixed fast in the vessel. It asks for a short mixing time and relatively low power consumption.

Optional features such as heating/cooling jacket, spray nozzle, continuous operation, different types of ribbon (3 types), construction material, customized feeding & discharging, vacuum drying & de-aerating, extended height bases and external body with bead blasted or polished finish can be offered to you by PerMix.

Here is our sanitary ribbon mixer with a bulk bag loading canopy with dust control/collection. The customer was on a budget and the loading of the machine was very labor-intensive and was filled by manually dumping of bulk ingredients that were bagged into mixer. The need to reclaim the dust and control it was necessary and PerMix created a cost-effective way to achieve this. The product that is collected in the dust collector can then be reclaimed for later use if desired.
